L'effet que ça fait de se changer en bête - 6 minutes
2011 / DVcam / Couleur et N&B / 4/3
Film produced in partnership with INA (The French National Audiovisual Institute)
and Lieux Fictifs as part of the event Marseille Provence 2013,
European Capital of Culture.
Using archival images provided by INA, Lieux Fictifs proposed that the artists create a six minute film.
The story is written as a monologue, short phrases are printed on the screen describing a man's chaotic getaway from the city.
The earth's surface is burning, war is raging.
A man flees the street and takes refuge underground, where he waits for the dawn.
« PEOPLE RIPPED APART,
LIKE TATTERED OLD SHIRT,
LIKE TATTERED RAGS,
I WAS TRYING TO FIND MY OWN WAY,
THROUGH THE STREETS OF THE DESTRUCTION ZONE,
I AM ALIVE.»
